Internship description: Love finding great social media content? How about doing it for a startup that’s working to change the world for the better? Join us at GoodWorld! We’re seeking a budding social media master to work in the heart of our communications and marketing team to maintain and build the GoodWorld social media presence. GoodWorld is a venture-backed, FinTech company that was recently named one of Fast Company’s most innovative and DC’s best start-up. We are fierce, fun and committed to making this world a better place while growing a widely successful business. You will be helping to manage the content creation and curation for the GoodWorld Facebook and Twitter profiles as part of our Marketing and Communications team. Each week, you will work to carefully select compelling content to share and create your own that will spark engagement with our audience and spread GoodWorld’s message. Our ideal candidate is creative, a true self-starter, has great writing skills, and has had experience creating and curating content for a brand, nonprofit or other organization’s social media content. Building your portfolio? Even better. This is not your conventional internship, we want you to own what you do and love it– just like we do! You’ll love working at GoodWorld. We’re consensus-driven, flat structured, driven, respectful and have lots of office perks. We’re located close to the White House. You’ll have 10 talented teammates working across engineering, product, sales and marketing, catered lunches, happy hours and adventurous field trips. Responsibilities: • Content curation • Content creation • Writing blog posts • Producing and curating visual content • Monitoring the internet for stories • Engaging with influencers, friends and fans of GoodWorld on social media • Brainstorming new tactics and campaigns to increase growth and reach
Degree Type: Undergraduate/Graduate
Internship Requirements: Experience drafting content for and managing social media accounts (Facebook, Instagram and Twitter); strong writing skills and ability to tailor content for multiple platforms and voices; ability to develop creative content while working within brand guidelines Deadline-oriented; can “own” tasks and build a strong, consistent workflow.
