Spend Consciously is accepting resumes for an internship opportunity as part of our communications-marketing team. Spend Consciously aims to be the 21st century reinvention of the nutrition-facts label, allowing people to spend their money in accordance with their values, beliefs, and priorities. BuyPartisan (www.buypartisan.com), the company’s initial app, allows consumers to scan a product barcode and see a breakdown of that company’s political contributions for the last ten years. The beta app reached the Top 5 on the iTunes Lifestyle chart with approximately 1-million downloads and was featured on over 200 national and international media outlets. Near-term initiatives include developing a branded Web app and an updated mobile app. Going beyond politics, our next product, Eye$pend, is a simple point-of- sale app that helps consumers make value-based purchases and makes companies more aware of actual purchasing behavior. Using their own personalized profile input, the consumer is able to discover and engage directly with brands and organizations that mirror their own values. Eye$pend will initially launch with information on over 10,000 products in six social issues, with 35 social issues expected to be covered by 2018. This is more than just a chance to earn credit or make useful contacts; this is a chance to be a part of the movement towards spending transparency and disclosure. Help us bring it all together in order to allow spending habits to be consistent with our personally held beliefs and values. Communications/Marketing Internship:  Assist in the development of various marketing campaigns and initiatives  Assist in gathering information and preparing new media, including short videos, and conducting interviews for online content  Help plan and execute company-sponsored events as well as attend events and conferences to help represent the company  Assist in the operation, upkeep and monitoring of social media sites and internal communications networks
