Tiffany Huang –  Co-President

Tiffany Huang is originally from Honolulu, Hawaii and grew up in Taipei, Taiwan. She graduated from New York University in 2013 with a B.S. in Media, Culture, and Communication and a minor in Business of Entertainment, Media, and Technology. After graduation, she worked as a technology consultant at Capgemini doing custom software development projects for Fortune 50 and startup clients in the medical device, utilities, and insurance industries. Fascinated with all things digital, she then transitioned to a role leading the digital marketing practice for the North America region, in which she was able to work with the consulting practice leads to go-to-market as a digital transformation player in the market.

At McDonough, Tiffany is focusing her studies on entrepreneurship, product strategy, and venture capital. She’s currently an InSITE Fellow, consulting local D.C. venture-backed startups on growth strategies during the school year. She can normally be found geeking out over emerging technologies and podcasts.

Matthew Gittleman –  Co-President

Matt has been working in startups for the last 5 years, including three years with LivingSocial, right here in DC, where he built out a network that now encompasses many of the who’s who of the DC startup scene. Now, he consults startups on business growth strategies throughout the year as part of the graduate InSITE Fellowship.

Daniel Jenks – VP of Career Trek

Daniel Jenks is originally from Northern California. He spent the last 11 years working in the Los Angeles area for Maria Shriver and most recently, the World Surf League. He has a passion for all things startup and is determined to one day start his own business.

Emily Forester – VP of Career

Emily graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 2010 with a BA in American Studies. Prior to MSB, she worked for five years in marketing at Chicago-based technology companies, focusing on online B2B customer acquisition, client engagement, and new product launches. Emily is interning at PrepFactory, a DC education technology startup in Spring 2017 and is pursuing post-MBA opportunities in both technology and financial services.

Sirena Laguana – VP of Marketing

Sirena grew up on the island of Guam in the Pacific until attending Pepperdine University in Malibu, CA, where she majored in Business Administration. During her college years, Sirena interned for various startups, both in the U.S. and in Shanghai, China. Upon graduating, Sirena was an initial hire at an L.A. based startup specializing in social media influencer marketing, where she became a senior account executive, orchestrating advertising campaigns for primarily entertainment and retail clients. Sirena is at MSB pursuing an emphasis in entrepreneurship in the hopes of one day starting her own business.

James Russo – VP of Evening Program Relations

James Russo is originally from Madison, NJ and graduated from Loyola University Maryland in 2011 with a BA in Finance. During his time at Loyola, he captained the Division I tennis team, studied abroad in Rome, and founded the Loyola Burger Community. Today, James is a product manager at Cambridge Associates, leading the digital transformation of the firm’s financial reporting services. He is pursuing an MBA part time at Georgetown University, where he is focused on finance, technology, and social entrepreneurship. In his spare time, James enjoys supporting his local community. He is an associate board member at BUILD, a non-profit that helps under-resourced high school students launch their own businesses.

Nitin Iyengar – VP of Social

Nitin grew up in Centreville, Virginia and is proud to call himself a native of the DMV (even if the traffic here is ghastly). He was a Government Major, with a Business Minor, at the College of William and Mary, and worked full-time for several years in the government contracting industry for SAIC/Leidos Inc., before transitioning over to consulting for several years at Booz Allen Hamilton. From there, Nitin worked in corporate finance and business development at CustomInk. Through internships in early undergrad and his CustomInk experience, Nitin was able to get exposure to the startup world, and is hoping to continue with entrepreneurship and/or venture capital after graduating.

Jesse Spodak – VP of Finance & Membership

Jesse Spodak grew up in the D.C. Metropolitan Area and graduated from Emory University in 2012 with a BA in Political Science. After college, Jesse worked as a professional fundraiser and then policy aid for former-congressman William L. Enyart. Leaving Capitol Hill in 2014, Jesse served as Finance Director for the successful campaigns of Congressman Don Beyer (VA-08) and Delegate Kathleen Murphy (VA-34) before serving as Campaign Manager for Delegate Jennifer Boysko’s successful campaign for the Virginia House of Delegates. Most recently, Jesse served as Statewide Finance Director for Virginia Lt. Governor Ralph Northam in his campaign for Governor. At MSB Jesse is pursuing a career in Entrepreneurship and Consulting.

Laveen Darvani – VP of Community

Laveen was born in Miami, Florida and has lived in Africa, Asia, and North America. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from Florida Southern College, and then moved to Singapore to work as a private banker. During the last year before he attended Georgetown, Laveen led the international fundraising initiative for a humanitarian NGO which looked to serve the most vulnerable populations in India.

During his time at MSB, Laveen has completely immersed himself in Startup Hoyas and other entrepreneurial initiatives at Georgetown. He has been a member of the Startup Hoyas First Year Board, participated in the Venture Capital Investment Competition, and currently holds a graduate assistant role related to entrepreneurship.

Laveen hopes to work for a high-growth startup that benefits society, either in a business development or sales role, or as an associate for a premier venture capital firm.

Kelsey Lents – VP of Alumni

With a background in architecture, business and liberal arts, Kelsey Lents is focused on developing a new approach for merging creative and analytical thought processes. A former Fulbright Scholar, she holds a B.A from Yale University, a Masters of Architecture from Columbia University and is currently pursuing her M.B.A. from Georgetown University where she is an InSITE and Forte Fellow. While practicing architecture, Kelsey specialized in workplace design and, prior to returning to academia, was a senior project manager with Architecture + Information (A+I) and an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Architecture at both Columbia University and Parsons School of Design. Kelsey is the co-founder of SEArch+, a design consultancy for human centric aerospace design, and has extensive experience working with firms to integrate organizational and spatial design at the genesis of firm growth and transformation.
