Tien Wong is an expert in technology and startups. He currently serves as Chairman and CEO of Tech2000, a provider of advanced technology training and mobile device software to government and Fortune 500 companies; Chairman of Lore Systems, an IT professional services company; and Chairman of Opus8, a private investment and strategic advisory firm.
A recognized expert in customer relationship management (CRM), direct marketing and business process outsourcing (BPO), Tien was co-founder and CEO of CyberRep until its 2003 acquisition by Affiliated Computer Services. At that time, CyperRep was one of the world’s largest, privately-held CRM outsourcing companies, with 6 centers, 2300 employees and $80 million in revenues. Today, CyberRep/ACS is a division of Xerox, with over $1.5 billion in revenue.
Tien received the 2001 Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year award for Greater Washington and the 2003 Ernst & Young Performance Excellence Award. He is one of the 2012 Washington Business Journal “Power 100”, a three-time Smart CEO Magazine “Smart100” and was one of the Gazette of Politics and Business “25 CEOs You Need to Know”.
Tien serves on the Boards of Directors of the Maryland Venture Fund Authority, the Potomac Officer’s Club, Washington DC Archangels, FounderCorps and Cadre. He also services on the Investment Advisory Board of Virginia’s Center for Innovative Technology GAP Fund and on the advisory boards of a number of mid-Atlantic tech companies, including Parature, Transactic, CirrusWorks, SpydrSafe and DataRPM. Tien is a graduate of Dartmouth College.
