We are revolutionizing the way people light up the world by utilizing the most cutting edge technology to reduce energy costs and provide sustainable, long-lasting products. We import and sell energy efficient lights to industrial and commercial companies across the U.S. including municipalities, and co-ops, through distributors and reps.

Full internship description:
You are a business savvy, curious person with an entrepreneurial spirit. You’re a natural leader who takes initiative, and you are not averse to trying new things to market and sell products. You’re interested in championing the growth of a small but profitable start up, and you’re passionate about doing work that is also good for the environment. You’re a natural problem solver and a creative thinker. You’ll have the latitude to do whatever it takes to grow EcoMax’s sales and improve business operations.
 Automate and develop systems to improve business operations
 Establish new sales channels and create a strategy for sales growth
 Provide market analysis and financial projections
 Develop and manage new marketing initiatives
 Advise on strategic company growth
 Employ a mastery of internal web tools from customer management software to email suites

Degree Type: Undergraduate, Graduate

Internship Requirements:
 Background in business, marketing, sales, financial projections, and/or market analysis
 Interest in entrepreneurship
 Willingness to take risks, and explore new sales channels and methods of improving business operations
 Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
 Great time management and organizational skills with a high attention to detail
 An independent critical thinker with outstanding problem-solving skills
 Happy to multi-task across all aspects of a small start up
 Desire to create and improve best practices
 Basic computer skills in Excel, mail chimp, and CRM software preferred.
 Experience in China preferred but not required.

Hiring Period: Summer

Location: Washington DC

Approximate Hours per Week: Full, 40 hrs

Compensation: Paid
