ReciproCare is a social enterprise using technology to increase access to employment for low-income, professional caregivers while helping home care agency recruiters to meet the rising demand for home care. We are seeking interns with a passion for addressing poverty, expanding care systems and inspiring social change. ReciprpCare’s founder is a public health physician from Harvard and Fellow in the Halcyon Incubator. The Company will start Beta testing./piloting its platform this spring.

Full internship description:
Illustrative Duties: 1. Design and build our social media mobilization strategy with caregivers – including through our company caregiver blog, 2. Regularly update the company’s social media accounts and support email marketing campaigns 3. Support launch of blog/vlog, including writing content, editing submissions, overseeing calendar, etc. 4. Develop compelling content for blogs 5. Design A/B ads for paid social media campaigns 6. Collect and analyze competitor marketing materials 7. Craft and disseminate newsletters targeted to customers, friends or affiliates of ReciproCare 8. Support Company’s rebranding efforts 9.. Help to implement and support caregiver recruitment & marketing strategies 10. Proactively investigate and test new ideas to find candidates and evaluate recruitment processes 11. Place ads, schedule meetings and conduct stakeholder interviews 12. Assist with the development of policies and procedures to guide fast-paced recruitment of caregivers 13. Help organize Reciprocare’s launch party 14. Other duties as assigned

Internship Requirements:
The ideal candidate enjoys working in an environment that is fast-paced, yet flexible and fun! 1. Undergraduate or graduate student who is majoring or concentrating in public health, human resources, journalism, business, entrepreneurship & tech, marketing/advertising or one of the many other relevant fields. Almost any major will be considered if the candidate has relevant experience. 2. Flexible and seeking an authentic early-stage startup experience, inclduing diverse demands, changing timelines, assignments, and priorities. 3. Results and detail-oriented 4. Able to prioritize tasks to fit deadlines 5. Open mind, exceptional communication skills and intercultural competencies 6. Ability to communicate verbally and in writing across class striking a balance between conversational and professional. Optional:: Community-based organizing or outreach or recruiting skills/experience Location: Downtown Silver Spring
