We import and sell energy efficient lights to industrial and commercial companies across the U.S including municipalities, and co-ops, through distributors and reps. We also consult to assist in securing federal/state grants and loans as well as utility rebates that have been made available to companies exploring green upgrades to their offices, warehouses, and/or other facilities.

We are revolutionizing the way people light up the world by utilizing the most cutting edge technology to reduce energy costs and provide sustainable, long-lasting products. We import and sell energy efficient lights to industrial and commercial companies across the U.S. including municipalities, co-ops, and distributors. WHO YOU ARE: You are a business savvy, curious person with an entrepreneurial spirit. You’re a natural leader who takes initiative, and you are not averse to trying new things to market and sell products. You’re interested in championing the growth of a small but profitable start up, and you’re passionate about doing work that is also good for the environment. Organized and detail-oriented, you can not only master administrative tasks but also seek out new systems to maximize efficiency. You’re a natural problem solver and a creative thinker. You’ll have the latitude to do whatever it takes to grow EcoMax’s sales, and improve the company’s business development systems. OVERVIEW: As a Sales Manager, your job will be 70% sales and marketing, and 30% general administration. Sales and Marketing: You will be the face and voice of our sales. You’ll expand our client relationships, work closely with current clients to secure new sales, and research viable channels for growth opportunities. You will become an expert in EcoMax’s products, as well as the government rebates and other programs for energy efficiency that could incentivize sales. You’ll use your marketing expertise to create MailChimp campaigns, and learn the best ways to market EcoMax products. Administration: You will become a master of our customer relationship management software and follow up with clients through the software. You will also be responsible for creating order acknowledgements, purchase invoices, and packing slips. In addition to managing orders from start to finish, you’ll assist with general office management. This is a great role for someone interested in a growth position that could lead to a full-time position. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES: Create a sales strategy that will establish new sales channels Develop a list of potential customers and follow through with leads Research energy rebates in DC and beyond Develop and manage new marketing initiatives Manage sales from start to finish, including invoicing, purchase orders, and order acknowledgments Advise on strategic company growth, including providing market analysis and financial growth projections Contribute to revenue growth through smart strategy and measurable results Assist with general office management Employ a mastery of internal web tools from customer management software to email suites QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s Degree required Interest in entrepreneurship Willingness to take risks, and explore new sales channels and methods of improving business operations Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills Great time management and organizational skills with a high attention to detail An independent critical thinker with outstanding problem-solving skills and a desire to create and improve best practices Happy to multi-task across all aspects of a small start up No previous experience with MailChimp, CRM or other softwares necessary, just a desire to learn This position is located in Washington, DC.
