Recity is a DC-based Real Estate Analytics SaaS company that is changing how real estate professionals understand and invest in growing urban markets. The company was founded in 2015 by two technology entrepreneurs who are involved in the day-to-day operations of the business. We currently collect over 70 data points on new real estate development projects in five major cities, with plans to expand throughout the country. Recity is looking for detail-oriented and self-motivated people who want to work together to build something great and accelerate our growth.

Full internship description:

Through the intern’s regular responsibilities, s/he will learn how to read zoning documents, building permits, and other related real estate documents. Interns will gain a comprehensive understanding of the entire life-cycle of a commercial real estate development. This is a great opportunity for someone who wants to gain experience at an innovative company in the emerging field of real estate technology and analytics. Responsibilities: – Research new and upcoming real estate development details, seeking specific information through online research – Inspect architectural records for specific characteristics – Use given project information to search for additional sources on the Internet – Read zoning documents for latest approved project details – Communicate project discrepancies with city leads – Use Recity data to research and present on real estate trends in the DC area

Degree Type: Undergraduate, Graduate

Internship Requirements:

Enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program – Genuine interest studying urban growth and real estate development trends – Extremely organized, fast learner with sharp attention to detail – Desire to work at a fast-paced, growing startup – Must be willing to roll up your sleeves and get the job done – Must be a master Googler, and able to find that lone unindexed web page with the information we need.

Hiring Period: Summer

Approximate Hours per Week: 40
